Dr. Johnson joined the practice of Drs. Roger H. Kallal, Robert D. Schwartz, Richard J. Balcerak, and Jeffrey K. Collins, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Associates, in August 2007.

Dr. Johnson hails from Iowa, and completed his undergraduate degree in pre-medicine and biology, with high honors, at Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois. He earned his dental degree at the University of Iowa Dental College where he was a member of the Delta Sigma Delta dental fraternity. Dr. Johnson went on to a General Practice Residency at Advocate Illinois Masonic Hospital where he practiced a wide range of dental and surgical procedures for medically complex and special needs patients. He then completed a four-year surgical residency at Cook County Hospital, including rotations in trauma, neurosurgery, plastic surgery, emergency medicine, and general surgery.

Dr. Johnson has experience in a wide range of oral and maxillofacial surgery procedures and has special interest in trauma, bone graft reconstruction, and implant surgery. He maintains hospital staff privileges at Adventist Hinsdale and LaGrange Memorial Hospitals, as well as Ingalls Memorial Hospital in Harvey.

Dr. Johnson is an avid sports fan. He enjoys baseball, golfing, and running. He resides with his wife, Sara, in downtown Chicago.
