-Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
Dr. Collins joined the practice of Drs. Roger H. Kallal, Robert D. Schwartz, and Richard J. Balcerak, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Associates, in August 2005 and became a partner in 2008. Dr. Collins is a native of west suburban LaGrange, where he graduated from Lyons Township High School. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, and received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Molecular and Integrative Physiology with highest honors in 1996. His academic career there was distinguished by election into the Phi Beta Kappa society and the Bronze Tablet for highest university honors. He earned his dental degree, with honors, at the University of Illinois-Chicago College of Dentistry in 2001. Dr. Collins then completed his residency training in the specialty of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Michigan Medical Center and School of Dentistry. Dr. Collins enjoys practicing the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery, but has special interests in oral pathology treatment and reconstructive surgery, as well as dental implant surgery and sleep apnea treatment. Dr. Collins maintains hospital staff privileges at Adventist Hinsdale and LaGrange Memorial Hospitals, as well as Delnor-Community Hospital in Geneva. In addition, he is Clinical Assistant Professor in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Illinois College of Dentistry. Dr. Collins is a member of numerous professional organizations including the American Dental Association, the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the Academy of Osseointegration, and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. He is also a Diplomate of the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology. He serves as an officer in the Aurora Dental Society, and participates in the Chicago Dental Society and Fox River Valley Dental Society. Dr. Collins enjoys skiing, golfing, and is a Chicago and University of Illinois sports fanatic. He resides with his wife, Elizabeth, their son, Brady, and daughter, Avery.
